Beatriz Moreno


Beatriz Moreno Milan is a Doctor in Psychology (University Complutense of Madrid) and Member of the Institute of Clinical Ethics Francisco Vallés (Universidad Europea). She has extensive experience in the field of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. Founder & Coordinator of the Psychology Unit of La Fuenfria Hospital since 2000, she has focused her activity on the Evaluation, Diagnosis and Treatment of chronic, neurological and oncological diseases, as well as in palliative care. She has a Master’s in Psycho-Oncology and a Master’s in Bioethics (UCM). She teaches on various Master’s, postgraduate courses and non-university training aimed at doctors, nurses, social workers and psychologists in the health field. In her chapters and published articles, she has stressed the importance of including ethical aspects in relationships with patients as well the psychological welfare of health care staff. She is Vice-president of the Ethics Committee of H.G.U. of Getafe (Madrid) and Member of the Ethics Committee of the Tambre Clinic of Assisted Reproduction. She has taught various Master’s and Postgraduate Master’s in the field of Clinical Practice focused on the patient, both nationally and internationally. She has had several international stays in centers of worldwide reference in Oncology and Palliative Care (in London and New York). She is a member of the research team of several projects on Communication, Bioethics and Psychotherapy in cancer patients at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center – MSKCC (New York) and is founder of the Psychooncology Group of the Official College of Psychologists (2001) and Member of the Technical Team of the Regional Plan for Palliative Care in the Community of Madrid (2009-2011).
